It’s very hard not to write something about the tragic passing of Lemmy Kilmister, legendary bass player & vocalist of Motörhead, and at least for me: one of the biggest and most important symbols of rock ‘n’ roll ever.
Simply one of the greatest rock stars, bass players and entertainers there ever were. Even though I myself was never a big Motörhead fan, Lemmy has always been a huge inspiration to me. He created sounds on his bass guitar that I didn’t think was possible, and his stage persona was cool to a point where competition was unnecessary. I can’t think of a single person who is as representative and famous for the art and living of rock ‘n’ roll as Lemmy.
His extreme output and charisma will forever be remembered by me and most rockers all over the world.
You were, and forever will be, one of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll artists to ever walk this earth!
“If you’re going to be a fucking rock star go be one. People don’t want to see the guy next door on stage; they want to see a being from another planet. You want to see somebody you’d never meet in ordinary life.”
― Lemmy Kilmister
